The sunnier of the two Gruy\u00e8re via ferrata to the Mol\u00e9son leads over the striking northeast pillar. A scenic route with some vertical and two briefly overhanging spots; Variant (not mandatory, but very exposed): K5. Get in the morning, because of the sun. K5 (two short spots), but usually K4 for the Via ferrata de la Face, exit variant K5+. On the pre-summit (1936 m) both routes unite. The Vie ferrate du Mol\u00e9son are subject to a fee: 4 francs for adults, 2 francs for children; the money is used for the maintenance of the facilities. They are open from mid-June to mid-October \u2013 when the Mol\u00e9son cable car is in operation.
